Spiders, St Marys, and 50 puzzle pieces

So this morning, Ryan is out watering the plants under our back porch whe I hear, "Umm Steph? Come out here and look at this!" I peered under the canopy of the jasmine and I see the biggest wolf spider, ever. With its hairy legs protectivly arched over the garden hose, gleeming at us with its shiney eyes, it could be easily a triantula, but it is tan and not too furry. Okay, so you can have the garden hose, buddy!

Its the third of its kind we have seen in the last week. The two others were removed from INSIDE the house. They were captured Steve Irwin-style by Ryan and taken outside the yard. My hero.

Well today I am recovering from two days of ER nursing. We have been REALLY busy at work, and I am still tired, so I sleep in, drink a leisurly cuppa coffee or six, spend some time on the computer while Astrid is napping. I look up from the computer and Aurora has mixed all three of her puzzles together and spread them all over the dining room floor. OOOOKAAAY. Maybe its time for me to pay attention. Adios!

Ugh, I hate wolf spiders. I don't know if Ryan remembers, but our house in Glendive use to have tons of wolf spiders in the basement. (yuck) Suppose he has a second career for the Animal Planet? Ryan Olson - Spider Hunter? Hmmmmm....
