30, thirty, trenti, the big three-zero...

Hello, my name is Stephanie and I am 30 today. I was hoping for some major difference between my 20s and my 30s. So far nothing. I still need coffee in the morning before I can function. I still would prefer to sleep late than wake up early. I have two wonderful daughters, a terrific husband, and a decent job that pays the bills. I like cheetos and I like sushi. I read three different science journals, two nursing journals and the latest Harry Potter. I love the Buena Vista Social Club, and I love the Ramones. I will wear a tee shirt with a skull on it just the same as I would wear a nice plain vee neck from Old Navy.
Joe, one of my oldest friends just called me to wish me a Happy Birthday. "Its all down hill from here." He says. Great.

Laura and I went out last night, and met some of her friends from work. They brought her presents and shared stories about the floor where she worked. It is apparent to me that she will be missed, and not only by me. It sure is a good thing I have free long distance on my cell phone.

Aurora just brought out a mess of dollies, and the latest craze is naming them all. We have: Sunshine girl, Pink Legs, Sleeping Beauty, Witch Barbie, Lava Girl, Purple Legs, Princess, and Fairydopia. Astrid just watches with wonderous eyes, then crawls highspeed to the nearest barbie and crams it into her cavernous mouth. "NOOOO ASWID! That's a chokin' hazard! MOMMY!"
