First off, my letter to the editor made it in today's newspaper. I have never had anything published before. *gawrsh* (in my best Goofy impression, while blushing slightly)
We had a little get-together for Astrid's birthday last weekend. She was uber-crabby that day. She appears to have some sort of cold-cough-sniffle thing going on.
In other news, my little sister has been a victim of domestic violence. Her lovely face is bruised, swollen, and cut. When I saw her in the hospital on sunday night, her spirit looked broken and beat down as well. My heart breaks along with hers, but I know she is strong and will heal quickly. She has to know that her family and her friends are behind her and support her and most importantly LOVE her.

And poor Jen. I was blown away when I read that. Please let her know that our thoughts and prayers are with her. She is so strong, with everything else she has gone thru in life. I know that she can get thru this too.
