AAARRRUUUGH! We are having a terrible, serious problem at our house.

The "Food Battles" have started. As in, "I don't like this or that..." Usually it is a vegetable, meat, or something that doesn't fall in the following catergories.
1. Candy
2. Mac and cheese
3. McDonald's
4. Ice cream/cookies/ popcicles.

So what do I do? Constantly serve healthy (and flavorful) meals. If it's spicy, then I serve a kid-friendly alternative. If it's avocados, I don't even bother putting them on the plate. I do tell her she must at least try everything on her plate. Even if it is green.

It totally pisses me off when she refuses to eat. I am not going to make her eat everything on her plate, but if she wants desert, she HAS to eat healthy stuff first.
Tonight we had a giant blow out. Aurora was sent to bed, then tantrumed and cried for almost an hour.

Everyone is in a foul mood.
My head hurts.
She is still crying.

((Hugs)) I wish I could tell you that it is just a phase - but then Tristyn would still be going thru that phase. lol. Seriously it will get better. Have her help you grocery shop, and prepare meals. Brenden will try anything if he got to pic it out, especially from something like a farmers market. Offer her a choice, as in "would you like beans or corn tonight?" not " Do you want veggies?" And I promise you, she will not starve if she goes to bed one night with out dinner. You are not the only mom to have to go thru this!
