News update....

I haven't been writing much lately, solely because I am BURNED-OUT. I recently finished my "capstone" paper for school and it was definitely the longest thing I have ever written. At nearly 4500 words and four months in which to complete it, my graduation capstone is here. Finally. Now I just have to present it, pass, and graduate. Phew. Then on to the Masters? I am not sure, but I would like to teach.

A week ago I interviewed for the CNL (clinical nurse leader) position in the ER. I was offered the position and accepted last Thursday. So basically, I will be the charge nurse every day that I work. It still sounds scary to me. It is a new and exciting position, plus a raise. Hello? More money is always good!!

Last weekend we had our memorial service/ family reunion in which my Aunt, cousin and her family visited. It was bittersweet, we all went through Gram's jewelery, bric-a-brac, and photos. We all cried, hugged, visited and made plans to keep in touch. If I can find gonga airfare to San Antonio like Lisa did, we are SO THERE!

And, in other news, My Wee-baby sister is expecting! We are so excited for her and are planning a shower for her in October, since baby is due in November!!! YAY!!! Its incredible, and I am completely obsessed. A new little niece or nephew!! Wooo HOOO! (I think its a boy...)

Woo Hoo on all the good things that have been happening to you! Please let Jen know that I am so excited for her - and will try to make it to the shower if I can! (with time off for T's surgery - I'll have to play it by ear)

Congratulations on all that hard work! There is nothing harder than going to school when you work full-time (and have a family!). Your new job sounds exciting, I'm sure you'll do great. And I think you'd make a great teacher.

Is this your sister's first baby? How exciting!
