Today, our family and the Ramirez family got up before the crack-of-dawn, piled in the car and drove to Apple Annie's Orchard in Wilcox, AZ.
It was beautiful and cool this morning, and I am glad we woke so early. We picked By 0900, the crowds had arrived, the temp creeped up to about 97. Couple that with the fruit-flies and the cloying odor of overripe peaches on the ground, and we were ready to go home by 0930.
So tonight, I made peach cobbler from peaches that were on trees this morning....
How cool is that?
