On Thursday Ryan, the girls and I went to the Y to work out. When we went to pick up the girls from the kids care center, the two near-teens running the desk look up with giant saucer eyes. "Um, there was an accident and she cut her chin!" My heart skipped a beat while I asessed my two most favorite girls. Aurora had slipped down the stair of the play structure, and poked her chin. The laceration was about a 1cm wide and 1cm deep, and with fat squishing out of it like a tube of toothpaste. So I called up St . Mary's and told em I was bringing her there. I thought it may have needed a stitch, but they ended up trimming the unruly fat, glueing it, then securing it with a butterfly. Ugh.
Friday we went over to Grandma and Grandpa's house to help them with the yard sale. They were pretty busy, I think. Then on our way to go see Daddy, we got a flat tire, had to wait for roadside assistance, then buy a new effing tire. I HATE spending money on boring stuff like tires.
Saturday (today) was really nice. Ryan and I got up really early thanks to Astrid, and went outside. Between the two of us, we drained a coffee carafe, read the news paper and worked in the back yard. Since our neighbor put up the 8ft high block wall, Ryan took down our ghetto-looking chainlink fence along that side. Then Ryan flushed out three triantula spiders, moved the play ground equipment, and built a planter box with some old bricks. I read the newspaper and then I put up Halloween decorations. Later we had some lunch, got cleaned up and went to see "Serenity", a sci-fi flick. It was really pretty good, suprisingly. Then we went to eat fish tacos, yum.
I work tomorrow, monday and wednesday.

(((Hugs))) for my sweet little Aurora. What a brave tropper she is. She really is her daddy's girl, spliting open her chin like that. Now she will have a scar on her chin to match dads.
