The great adventure

I talked to my parents briefly yesterday. Its the first time I heard from them since Saturday. They traveling on a train in Canada. They told me that they just went thru a place called Prince Rupert. They have seen quite a bit of wildlife during their adventure, and snow, and rain, lots of rain... My mom said she saw a moose yesterday. A moose?! I don't think I have ever seen a moose in real life, much less in the wild. They also decribed douglas fir trees 8ft in diameter. I have never seen a tree that big. If you can't tell, I am envious.

Yesterday, I abused my body on the weight machines. I piled the weight on and did 2 sets of all the circut machines. Especially the back machines. It felt really good, and since there is no soreness, I will go back today. Then, the library... because I am tapped for something to read! I have scoured the house, read all my science mags, all the nurse journals, and I am desparate. Must. read. something. We have a bout 18 bucks in the bank until tonight at midnight, so I will make a nice lunch at home today.

Astrid is standing unasisted for nearly a minute now. Last night she practiced, and practiced until she could stand and swivel her head at the same time. Today she has a angry looking rash on her bottom. I suspect it is the cause of her crying jag so far. She's wearing a purple tee shirt and a pair of Aurora's old bluejean overalls. AJ wore them all the time, and now they belong to Astrid, and they look SO CUTE. I need to find my camera to document my claims.

If you are looking for a great read, Try Eragon and then Eldest by Christopher Paolini. I just finished them. EXCELLENT!!!! Very "Lord of the Rings-ish" I just could not put them down. Also it is a KID who wrote them. 15 when he wrote and 19 when published the 1st one.
