Well, apparently I can write good enough for my school instructor. Although, one comment received was "Too Conversational" Hmm. Perhaps that's because I am used to that? I dunno. The second paper was slightly better. Hopefully by the end of this, I will be able to just churn out 5 page papers in my sleep.
Last weekend Ryan went to play paintball in Las Vegas... He came back tired, full of bruises, but happy. On saturday, my oldest friend Rachel and her family came to Tucson for her son's tournament. Then they came over for dinner. I was so giddy with nervousness... I hadn't even seen her in like six years. She looks exactly the same, beautiful as always, plus now she has a really cute hair cut. Her Hubby, Mike is a really nice guy with a good sense of humor, and her son Devin, (so polite!) is very good with little kids. Debbie, her mom was cheerful and sweet as always. We reminisced, gossiped and laughed until late that evening. I have missed her so much. Scroll down for evidence of fun evening.
Oh... Love new truck. Feel slightly redneck, but who cares! I can sit high in traffic, see over other cars, and haul ass down the road.
Yesterday while at work, Lilly the paramedic brought us a guy who passed out at work. He was having a heart attack, and was so sweaty that the electrodes that we were placing to look at his rhythms just slid off his chest. He was awake, and had a BP of 51/17. Um... How? How did this man whose heart probably stopped (hence the passing out) then start beating again survive? He was severly bradicardic (45 or so beats a minute) but had NO PAIN! It was really unsual. The man was rushed to the cath lab for stabilization. Later the cath lab nurse told me his heart vessels were shot, and he was going to need a bypass. Yowza. Some guardian angels were at work with this guy. Then we had a elderly fellow who came in to have his foot checked. His poor old foot was grey, mottled and cold to the touch. Once he was hooked to the monitor, we discovered a 2nd degree heart block. Basically one of the electrical centers in his heart had burned out, so the muscle wasn't responding very well. His heart rate only topped the 30s. So Dr. B called the heart Doc, and it was decided that this man desperatly needed a pacemaker before he could go to surgery for his foot. The cardiologist said, "Hey! We have got to stop meeting like this!" How true... It was a whirlwind day, and I was exhasusted at the end of it.
Oh, a shout-out to my other sis-in-law, Get well soon Sara! Speedy recovery.

The new truck is very cool. I agree, I love being up in traffic. I always enjoy it when I get to steal, I mean, drive Mark's truck.
