T- minus 10 hours and counting

WOO HOO! Gramma Laurie, Papa Mark, Nana, and Gpa Thor are visiting us today! The house is nearly clean, the pantry is stocked, my paper is written so all I have to do is ENJOY my day. Okay, so I still have to sweep and mop, and go to the store, but then I have the day to myself.

Yesterday I went home from work to look after my sick daughter. "I 'growed up, Mommy!" Aurora looked a little pale and peaked. So after confirming the absence of any further emesis, then I made a pot full of homade chicken noodle soup. She ate that, and looked like she started feeling better. All appears well this morning.

I believe that writing for classes is becoming an easier task. The first paper was so labor intensive and wretched, that I wondered,what in the hell was I doing? This last paper took me the better part of an afternood to write, but that was after doing some research, too. Ah, well... I just utilize the kids naptimes to do my work, instead of reading "The Outlander Series" by Diana Gabaldon. I would much rather read about Jaime and Claire than some stupid old PhD's rants about the 'evidence based practice blah blah blah'. You know?
